Spring Phoenix
Problem Statement Enterprise Java and Spring Boot services often run on outdated frameworks with zero test coverage. Upgrading them is high-risk: developers avoid touching legacy code because no test suite exists to guarantee against regressions, and crucial business rules only exist in the heads of developers rather than documentation. This makes migrations slow, fragile, and dangerous. Solution SpringPhoenix orchestrates an end-to-end modernization pipeline through IBM Bob 2.0: Three context-isolated subagents per module execute sequentially: Subagent 1: Baseline test generation + JaCoCo coverage auditing ($\ge 80%$ gate). Subagent 2: Framework modernization + self-healing compiler/test error recovery. Subagent 3: PITest bytecode mutation testing guardrail (demanding 0 surviving mutants). Human-in-the-Loop Governance: An interactive checkpoint halts execution between analysis and code modifications for explicit developer approval. Institutional Knowledge Capture: Ambiguous and undocumented business logic is automatically flagged into a living reference (reports/knowledge_gaps.md), preserving domain intent forever. Concurrent Multi-Module Orchestration: Independent domain aggregates (User and Product) run in parallel via a ThreadPool orchestrator, achieving real multi-stage speedups.
