BlitzDev — Autonomous FinTech PR Guardian
The Problem: The Silent Financial Logic Gap Standard linters and SAST tools catch syntax errors, type mismatches, and formatting issues, but they remain completely blind to financial business logic. In transactional software, a green linter check can give a false sense of security. An API endpoint can pass all static checks while lacking database concurrency controls. If five concurrent $30 withdrawal requests hit an account with a $100 balance, the lack of row-level locking allows each coroutine to read the initial balance simultaneously, causing an illegal overdraft and corrupting the ledger within milliseconds. The Solution: BlitzDev Architecture BlitzDev is an autonomous FinTech PR Guardian powered by IBM Bob 2.0. Operating directly inside the CI/CD pipeline, BlitzDev inspects pull requests, parses repository Abstract Syntax Trees (ASTs), and enforces seven non-negotiable financial domain rules: - FIN-001 (Critical): Eliminates IEEE 754 floating-point precision loss using quantized 2-decimal arithmetic. - FIN-002 (Critical): Prevents double-spend concurrency exploits via serialized row mutexes. - FIN-003 (Critical): Enforces atomic single-commit ACID boundaries on multi-party transfers. - FIN-004 (Critical): Validates idempotency keys to eliminate duplicate charges on network retries. - FIN-005 (Critical): Mandates JWT Bearer authentication guards on all ledger mutation routes. - FIN-006 (High): Enforces explicit zero-balance boundary checks prior to state mutations. - FIN-007 (Medium): Enforces structured audit logging for all transactional operations. Deterministic Verification: Exploit vs. Remediation BlitzDev pairs static analysis with reproducible, sub-second test suites: - The Exploit: Five concurrent withdrawal requests against an unhardened endpoint trigger a -$50.00 balance corruption in 0.24 seconds, demonstrating the flaw. - The Remediation: Applying BlitzDev's synthesized controls—in-memory row mutexes, Decimal quantization, JWT route dependencies, and idempotency tracking—restores strict integrity in 0.35 seconds. Exactly three withdrawals succeed ($90 total), two are safely rejected with HTTP 400 Insufficient Funds, and the account balance stays locked at an exact $10.00. Enterprise Telemetry & Live Infrastructure Every audit automatically produces two standard artifacts: 1. Mermaid.js Blast Radius Topologies: Architectural flowcharts mapping affected endpoints directly to vulnerable database models and tables. 2. OASIS SARIF v2.1.0 Telemetry: Standardized reports consumed natively by GitHub Code Scanning to block vulnerable pull requests before merge. Built inside IBM Bob 2.0 IDE using custom domain skills, BlitzDev maintains complete audit telemetry and session proofs in /bob_sessions. The production ledger API is deployed live on Render with interactive OpenAPI documentation, backed by GitHub Actions CI/CD.
