# Career Compass AI AI-Powered Career Guidance & Personalized Learning Roadmap System Career Compass AI is a Django-based AI platform that helps learners discover suitable careers and become job-ready through personalized learning. It analyzes skills, interests, education, and work preferences to recommend the top 5 career paths. The platform provides career assessment for both CS and non-CS learners, transparent weighted career matching, AI-powered skill-gap analysis using Google Gemini, personalized 4-week learning roadmaps, practical projects, verified learning resources, an AI Career Navigator for career and certification guidance, and a progress dashboard for tracking learning milestones. It also includes AI fallback, response validation, caching, and offline support for reliability. The platform is built using Python, Django 6.0, Google Gemini API, Bootstrap 5, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQLite/PostgreSQL, Crispy Forms, Whitenoise, and Pillow. Its recommendation engine evaluates skill matches, education fit, and interest overlap to present the five most suitable career paths for each learner. Future enhancements include AI-generated resumes, mock interview preparation, job and internship matching, mentor matching, mobile applications, multilingual support, and institutional analytics. Reverse Resume
Reverse Resume tackles a real gap in resume-feedback tools: most give a generic score with no connection to the job you're actually targeting, and no follow-up plan. Users set a "dream job," upload a PDF or DOCX resume, and Google Gemini analyzes it specifically against that role — returning an ATS score, strengths, weaknesses, missing skills, recommended projects, certifications, and keywords as structured JSON. Those results power a Chart.js dashboard and, more importantly, a deterministic 4-week learning roadmap built from the AI's own gap analysis, at no extra API cost. Engineering-wise, the AI layer cascades across four Gemini model tiers with retry/backoff, and falls back to a rule-based mock analyzer if every quota is exhausted — so the feature degrades gracefully instead of breaking. Built with Django, SQLite, Tailwind CSS, and Chart.js, and deployed live on Render, Reverse Resume is a working, end-to-end example of AI integrated for real user value, not just a demo.
