EdgeLock is an ultra-low-power edge AI interlock system designed for chemical SMEs where certified explosion-proof automation is cost-prohibitive. Manual raw material picking, transfer, and reactor charging frequently suffer from human error, causing catastrophic feeding mistakes and costly batch write-offs.
Powered by the SiMA Dev Kit 3.0, EdgeLock executes high-speed on-device OCR and barcode recognition to validate material Lot codes against active production BOMs in real time. Thanks to SiMA MLSoC's extreme power efficiency, the system operates fanless inside compact enclosures within hazardous plant environments with zero cloud latency.
When a mismatched ingredient or Lot is identified, EdgeLock immediately fires a GPIO-driven physical interlock at the reactor feeding gate to block entry. By linking warehouse dispatch to reactor charging, EdgeLock delivers an end-to-end traceable data pipeline and a robust Poka-Yoke architecture for legacy manufacturing.
