Gauntlet
GAUNTLET GAUNTLET is an adversarial AI strategy validation layer for trading strategies, built for the Alpaca AI Trading Agents Hackathon (August 28 to September 4, 2026). Its core premise is that most AI trading tools answer the wrong question. They tell you what to trade. GAUNTLET instead asks whether a strategy has earned the right to trade at all, and it makes that judgment through a fixed, auditable pipeline rather than a model's opinion. The problem it addresses Natural language strategy generation is easy to build and easy to fool. A user can describe a trading idea in plain English, have an LLM turn it into rules, and watch it look great on a single backtest. What that flow rarely does is attack the strategy the way real markets eventually will: different regimes, parameter fragility, sudden volatility, sharp reversals. GAUNTLET's entire design is organized around closing that gap before any capital, even paper capital, is put at risk.
