RepoTales is a generative 16-bit saga engine that transforms raw Git repository data into an interactive manga and turn-based RPG adventure. By analyzing commits, pull requests, contributors, and production incidents, RepoTales rewrites a project's history as an immersive 16-bit universe where commits yield XP and levels, pull requests unfold as manga chapters, contributors become playable heroes, and bugs prompt epic boss battles. Built for the AMD Developer Hackathon: ACT III (Track 4 - Vibe Generation), RepoTales is fully self-hosted on AMD Instinct MI300X infrastructure using ROCm 6.x and vLLM. It leverages Qwen 2.5 (14B) for rich lore, dynamic dialogue, and tactical boss encounters natively in English and French. Visual manga panels are rendered on-demand by FLUX.1-schnell in a locked 13-color "Neon Cartridge" pixel-art style, guaranteed for 0% character drift through deterministic SHA-256 seeding based on contributor signatures. Git milestones and workflow automations are orchestrated seamlessly via Evolus AI Workflows and sub-agents. With zero marginal cost per saga run on dedicated AMD hardware, RepoTales bridges human creativity and open-source code for tech recruitment, developer community engagement, and SaaS/Open-Source marketing.
