FarmVoice is a realtime AI voice agent for greenhouse operations, powered by the AssemblyAI Voice Agent API. Farmers cannot continuously monitor temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and equipment. FarmVoice lets them talk naturally to their greenhouse instead of relying only on dashboards. A farmer can say, “Check my greenhouse.” FarmVoice reads live sensor conditions, identifies problems, prioritizes actions, and explains what needs attention. When action is required, it can safely control greenhouse equipment through function tools. FarmVoice uses an impact-based safety model. Low-impact actions can execute automatically, while medium- and high-impact actions require farmer confirmation. After every equipment action, FarmVoice checks the actual farm state before reporting success. The complete workflow is: Understand → Assess → Prioritize → Confirm → Act → Verify → Report AssemblyAI provides the real time voice-agent layer, including speech recognition, agent interaction, tool calling, and spoken responses. FarmVoice connects this voice interface to a greenhouse control and monitoring system with live sensor state, safety rules, autonomous alerts, PostgreSQL logging, SSE updates, and a web dashboard. FarmVoice's key difference is that it does not stop at answering questions. It can reason about live greenhouse conditions, safely take action, and verify that the action actually worked before telling the farmer it succeeded. The project demonstrates how real time voice AI can become a practical interface for smart agriculture and future IoT-enabled greenhouses.
