Team Idea

DecideEats is a voice-first restaurant decision assistant built with AssemblyAI Voice Agent. Instead of making users scroll through endless restaurant lists, DecideEats lets them speak naturally, such as: “I live in Miri, Sarawak. I want nasi lemak for four people.” The voice agent extracts the user’s craving, location, budget, party size, and dietary needs, then calls a recommendation tool to search live nearby restaurant data. The app updates the visible form, shows one clear restaurant pick, estimates the RM price range, explains the budget fit, and opens Google Maps directions. DecideEats is built with Next.js, AssemblyAI Voice Agent, Foursquare Places API, and Google Maps Directions. It is designed to make everyday food decisions faster, more natural, and easier for groups.
