Project Sentinel

Problem: Production software applications frequently encounter unexpected runtime crashes due to unhandled edge cases, missing dictionary keys, or unvalidated input data, leading to severe downtime and demanding extensive manual debugging from software engineering teams. Solution: Project Sentinel addresses this issue by leveraging IBM Bob 2.0 as an autonomous incident triage and code repair assistant. It monitors incoming transaction data workflows, captures stack traces, identifies root-cause exceptions such as KeyError crashes, and automatically generates targeted code fixes. Target Users & Interaction: Developers, DevOps specialists, and site reliability engineers interact with Project Sentinel by feeding application logs and repository structures into the workflow. The assistant analyzes the source code, applies safe defensive programming updates (such as dictionary default getters), runs automated unit tests to verify stability, and documents session history through structured changelogs. Uniqueness: By pairing rapid exception diagnosis with IBM Bob 2.0's intelligent developer agent capabilities, Project Sentinel significantly reduces mean time to resolution (MTTR), eliminates tedious manual debugging, and maintains high code quality across enterprise software systems.
