Bob PR Reviewer

The Problem Code review is one of the most time-consuming, inconsistent steps in modern software development. Reviewers manually check whether new code has adequate test coverage, scan for security red flags (hardcoded secrets, injection risks, missing error handling), and verify the diff actually matches what the PR description claims. This takes 15–30 minutes per PR on non-trivial changes, and quality varies heavily depending on reviewer fatigue and experience. On busy teams, PRs pile up waiting for review, slowing releases and increasing the chance that real issues slip through. The Solution Bob PR Reviewer is a web tool that automates the first pass of code review. A developer pastes a GitHub PR URL, and the tool fetches the diff via the GitHub API, then runs three specialized AI subagents in parallel: - Test Coverage Agent — flags new or changed logic that has no corresponding tests in the same PR - Style & Security Agent — scans for hardcoded secrets, injection risks, and missing error handling - Spec-Match Agent — compares the actual diff against the PR's stated title/description to catch scope mismatches Results stream back to the UI in real time as each subagent finishes — so the user watches parallel analysis happen, rather than staring at a blank loading screen. Once complete, the user can copy a formatted markdown report or post it directly as a comment on the GitHub PR with one click, closing the loop between analysis and action. Every review is saved to Firestore, and a history dashboard aggregates impact metrics across all past reviews: total PRs reviewed, critical issues caught, and estimated time saved compared to manual review — giving teams and managers a concrete, cumulative measure of the tool's value rather than a one-off demo. Target Users Individual developers and small engineering teams who want faster, more consistent first-pass PR reviews without adding new tooling overhead — the tool works with any public or token-accessible GitHub repo, no CI pipeline changes required. Why It's Creative and Unique Rather than a single "review this diff" AI call, Bob PR Reviewer treats review as three genuinely distinct concerns handled by separate, purpose-built subagents running concurrently — mirroring how a senior engineer mentally splits review work between "does this work," "is this safe," and "is this what was asked for." The streaming UI makes that parallelism visible rather than hidden behind a spinner. Closing the loop with direct GitHub comment posting turns the tool from a passive dashboard into something that fits directly into a real developer's existing workflow — and the cumulative impact dashboard reframes "time saved" as an ongoing team metric instead of a single demo number.
