3 days of building

This is an intensive 3-day virtual hackathon dedicated to creating AI-powered solutions with Llama 2 and Clarifai. You'll learn through hands-on experience how to integrate these technologies into impactful applications.

All levels are welcome

Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to join. Take this opportunity to immerse yourself in leading AI capabilitiesβ€”no matter your current experience!

Deliver your solution

At the end of the hackathon, present your creation during the livestream finale. Show the community what's possible when you push the boundaries of AI!

Hackathon Challenge

Build an AI solution centered around the Llama 2 model and powered by Clarifai. You must use Llama 2 as the core of your project and leverage the Clarifai platform to build your application!

The field and industry are wide open - as long as you utilize Llama 2 and Clarifai in an innovative way, you can focus on bringing your idea to life!

Llama 2

Llama 2 is the latest natural language model by Meta, fine-tuned with reinforcement learning to deliver advanced conversational AI capabilities.

Clarifai

Clarifai provides pre-trained AI models for computer vision, NLP, and generative applications via its full-stack deep learning platform.

Judging Criteria

The criteria aim to identify submissions that aren't just technically proficient but also have clear utility and purpose

Application of technology

Projects will be judged on how well they incorporate and apply the capabilities of Llama 2 and Clarifai in an impactful way. The best submissions will showcase a strong technical understanding of the models.

Presentation

Projects should be presented clearly, explaining key features and demonstrating the final product or prototype. Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical topics to a broad audience are key.

Business value

We will evaluate if projects offer useful, real-world solutions and concrete benefits that are clearly articulated. Submissions should identify target users or markets and address specific needs or problems.

Originality

Truly novel applications of Llama 2 and Clarifai will stand out. Judges are looking for creative, outside-the-box ways of tapping the technologies that show a fresh perspective. Think big on how AI can create new value!

How can I get access to Clarifai for the Hackathon?

To obtain free access to Clarifai for the Hackathon, ensure you register on the platform before the Kick-Off stream by 20:00 CET.

If you miss this deadline, you can either collaborate with a participant who has access or use your personal Clarifai plan, though this might result in additional charges. For assistance, consult the Hackathon's support channels or Clarifai's customer service.

Who can join the Hackathon?

We welcome domain experts from all industries, not just AI or tech. Successful AI solutions require a combination of technical expertise and domain knowledge. Coding experience is recommended.

Do I need AI or coding experience to participate in the Hackathon?

Nope! We welcome people with diverse backgrounds and skill sets to contribute to the project. Whether you have technical or non-technical experience, you're invited to join us. For those new to AI, we offer plenty of beginner-friendly tutorials that you can use to learn and get started with AI during the Hackathon.

Do I need a team?

You are welcome to join as a team or solo. If solo, we still encourage you to look for a team before the event, but ultimately it is your choice. We recommend you to join the lablabai Discord server and posting in the dedicated looking for team channel to get to know your potential future team members.

Do I need a Github account?

It is recommended. At least one team member should have a Github account. You can create one for free if you don't already have one. We have recorded a 5-min guide for beginners on creating a GitHub account, feel free to check it out!

Hackathon Prize Delivery 🎁

Once the results are announced, organizers will contact the winning teams to gather delivery details. You'll be able to choose if the prize goes to the team or is split among members.

Please note, it might take us up to 90 days to distribute the prizes, and we'll work to get them to you as quickly as possible! Your innovation deserves celebration, and we're here to make that happen! πŸŽ‰
