JobAgent is an AI-powered career coach built for the NativeBuilder: Build Without Limits Hackathon. Instead of being a passive job board, it actively helps users understand their fit for a role, close their skill gaps, write tailored applications, avoid scams, and rehearse interviews out loud — all backed by real AI calls, with zero hardcoded or simulated data. Users upload their CV and tell JobAgent their target job title, location, and work preference. AI parses the real CV and extracts a structured profile — skills, experience, education, strengths, and gaps. It then discovers and scores matching jobs against that actual profile, explaining the fit in plain language instead of a black-box number. For each job, JobAgent generates a tailored cover letter and ATS keyword suggestions, flags potential scam listings with a clear risk level, and identifies missing skills with a short learning roadmap. The standout feature is the voice-powered mock interview: JobAgent generates role-specific interview questions, the user answers by speaking, Speechmatics transcribes the response in real time, and AI scores the answer with strengths, improvements, and a model answer — closer to a real interview than typing ever could be. Every application can be tracked on a Kanban board from Saved through Applied, Interviewing, Offer, and Rejected, with a dashboard summarizing jobs analyzed and average match score. Built end-to-end on native.builder, JobAgent combines Google Gemini for AI reasoning, Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage, and Speechmatics for real-time voice transcription — closing the loop from "found a job" to "genuinely ready to apply."
