Astrolabe — Interactive Codebase Visualiser & AI Blast-Radius Engine Astrolabe helps developers understand the true impact of a code change before they make it. Submit any public GitHub repository URL and Astrolabe will shallow-clone it, parse every JavaScript and TypeScript file using Babel's AST (no LLM tokens spent on parsing), and render a live, interactive dependency graph in the browser. From the graph you can explore which files import or export each other, inspect individual files with syntax highlighting, and run a static risk analysis that scores each file by how many other files depend on it and whether it has test coverage. When you want to go deeper, select a specific line in a file, describe the change you're considering, and Astrolabe sends a structured, context-rich prompt to Google Gemini. Gemini returns a JSON impact report — severity level, a list of affected call-sites with explanations, a risk index, and a suggested safe-fix as a unified diff. The result is displayed as an animated "blast-radius" card overlaid on the graph canvas. Users can download a .patch file. Tech stack: Node.js · Express · Prisma · PostgreSQL · Next.js App Router · React Flow · Tailwind CSS · Framer Motion · Google Gemini API.
