Falcon 2 11B

GPT-4 is an OpenAI's 4th generation Generative Pre-trained Transformer, a successor of ChatGPT. It is a multimodal large language model that uses deep learning to generate human-like text and it can accept image and text as inputs. GPT-4 is OpenAI's most advanced system, producing safer and more useful responses, it hallucinates less than previous models and is a major step forward. There are two versions with context windows of 8192 and 32768 tokens, which is a significant improvement over GPT-3.5 and GPT-3. OpenAI introduced the concept of "system message" that can be given to chat-optimized versions of GPT-4 in order to set the tone and task of the response.

Fresno LUX: A Living City

Fresno LUX: A Living City

Fresno LUX is a prototype for a living intelligence layer across an entire city. Fresno already contains enormous amounts of intelligence: residents know where problems exist, nonprofits know where help is needed, businesses know where opportunities exist, educators understand gaps in learning, researchers generate knowledge, and government maintains critical infrastructure and data. The problem is that much of this intelligence is fragmented across disconnected systems. Fresno LUX connects those pieces. The platform creates a shared city graph where people, organizations, resources, needs, projects, observations, experiments, and outcomes become connected nodes. Instead of simply collecting data, LUX continuously asks: What is happening? What do we know? What is missing? What can we test? What changed? A community problem can become an observable signal. That signal can become an experiment. The experiment produces evidence. Evidence changes the system's understanding. That updated understanding informs the next action. Observe → Connect → Understand → Act → Measure → Learn → Converge. The goal is to move Fresno from disconnected information toward collective intelligence—a system where knowledge can travel across boundaries and successful solutions can be discovered, tested, measured, and replicated. LUX is designed to make the invisible connections visible: the relationship between a neighborhood and its resources, between a student and educational opportunity, between a business and workforce capacity, between environmental conditions and community health, and between an idea and measurable real-world impact. This hackathon prototype demonstrates the beginning of a Living Fresno Graph: a city that can observe itself, learn from evidence, and coordinate toward better outcomes.

LinguaPolis - Bridging Languages and Uniting Teams

Today we have workforces spread across multiple countries, cultures, and languages. Online meetings have become a key part of how businesses operate. But there's a significant challenge: not everyone speaks the same language or communicates effectively in a common one like English. Accents, dialects, or simply varying levels of proficiency often make it difficult for teams to fully understand each other. This problem results in inefficiencies—important points are missed, and post-meeting emails or clarifications are needed, which undermines the very purpose of the meeting. Ultimately, this wastes time, reduces productivity, and slows down decision-making. Consider a typical online meeting scenario. For many, English may not be their first language. Some struggle to express their ideas clearly, while others have difficulty understanding certain accents or pronunciations. Often, by the end of the meeting, there’s a lack of clarity, and participants need to follow up with additional communications, re-explaining points or providing more instructions. Now imagine a scenario where each participant could simply speak in their native language, and everyone else could understand them perfectly—in real time, without the need for human translators or extensive subtitles. This is where our idea comes in: an AI-powered online meeting platform that provides real-time dubbing and multilingual transcription. Each participant can speak comfortably in their native language, and the platform instantly dubs their speech into the local languages of all other participants. Additionally, real-time text transcripts of the conversation are generated in each participant’s language, providing both auditory and visual clarity. At the end of the meeting, the platform even summarizes the discussion, producing meeting minutes in every participant's native language, ensuring that everyone walks away with a clear understanding of what was discussed and the decisions that were made.
