AlphaMind is an AI-powered trading agent built for the lablab.ai × Alpaca AI Trading Agents Hackathon. AlphaMind combines real-time market data, technical indicators, and AI-powered analysis to evaluate market conditions and generate explainable BUY, SELL, or HOLD decisions. Rather than relying solely on a trading signal, AlphaMind provides reasoning behind its decisions and applies risk controls before a trade can be executed. The system includes automated risk management with a maximum risk-per-trade limit, position and exposure controls, daily loss protection, confidence thresholds, duplicate-order prevention, idempotent order handling, bracket orders, and paper-trading enforcement. AlphaMind integrates with Alpaca Paper Trading and uses NVIDIA NIM with the Nemotron model for AI-powered analysis. The platform also provides position monitoring, order management, and decision auditing, creating an end-to-end workflow focused on analysis, explainability, and risk management.
