CampusPilot AI — A Voice-First Student Success Agent Overview: CampusPilot AI is a real-time voice assistant integrated into AI Student Hub, designed to make academic learning and student services more accessible through natural spoken conversations. Students often rely on disconnected platforms to find course materials, understand difficult concepts, prepare for examinations, and organize their study schedules. CampusPilot addresses this challenge by providing a conversational interface that connects students with their authorized learning resources and useful academic tools. How it works: CampusPilot uses AssemblyAI's Voice Agent API to support real-time speech input, speech understanding, natural spoken responses, and conversational turn-taking. Students can ask questions, retrieve academic resources, request explanations, generate quizzes, and create revision plans. The agent uses backend tools to perform these tasks and displays the results inside AI Student Hub. A retrieval-based academic knowledge system grounds document-related answers in available course material and provides source references where possible. Key Features: - Real-time voice conversations using AssemblyAI. - Academic resource search and document-grounded assistance. - Personalized study planning and revision support. - Interactive quiz generation and learning feedback. - Integration with the AI Student Hub ecosystem. - Secure backend tool execution and student data access controls. Technology: AssemblyAI Voice Agent API, React/Next.js, Node.js, an existing AI Student Hub database, and document retrieval services. Impact: CampusPilot aims to reduce the effort required to access learning resources, improve the accessibility of academic assistance, and provide students with a unified conversational interface for learning and study organization. The project demonstrates how real-time voice AI can be integrated into an existing student platform to support practical, student-centered workflows.
