MockMate — AI Voice Interview Coach
Everyone says "practice out loud" before an interview — but coaches cost $100-250/hr, mock partners flake, and reading answers silently never trains speaking under pressure. MockMate is a voice-first mock interview platform in the browser. Pick a role (SDE/Data/PM/Behavioral), persona (Friendly Coach, FAANG Bar Raiser, HR Screen), level and voice — then just talk. • Real conversation: semantic turn-taking never cuts a thinking pause; you can interrupt it like a human. • Résumé-aware: paste your CV and the interviewer drills YOUR actual projects; résumé terms auto-extract into STT keyterms. • Live scoring: every answer scored 1-10 via 4 JSON-Schema function tools (plan_interview, log_question, score_answer, end_interview) that drive the question tracker, coach HUD and report card — the agent literally operates the app. • Delivery analytics: filler words, WPM pace and talk time, measured from the live transcript stream. • Report card: overall /100, hire signal, per-answer strengths and improvements, focus areas, PDF export. • History: score deltas (▲ +8 vs last attempt) make progress measurable. • Hinglish mode: Hindi-English code-switched input via language_codes, coached in English. Tech: one WebSocket carries STT + LLM + TTS on the AssemblyAI Voice Agent API; inline per-session config (system prompt, greeting, 11 voices, keyterms, transcription_prompt, tools); single-use tokens minted by a zero-dependency Python server (API key never reaches the browser); session.resume heals dropped calls; reply.create + conversation.message power the end-early flow.
