SilentVoice AI SilentVoice AI is a voice-first development assistant designed to make software development more accessible, efficient, and intuitive. Traditional development workflows rely heavily on keyboards, mice, and manual interaction with code editors, which can create challenges for developers with accessibility needs and reduce productivity when navigating large codebases. SilentVoice AI addresses this problem by enabling developers to interact with their projects using natural language voice commands. The system allows users to speak instructions such as requesting code modifications, navigating files, or analyzing project components. These voice commands are converted into text using speech recognition technology and then processed by an AI-powered assistant capable of understanding project context and source code structure. Based on the user's intent, the assistant identifies relevant files, analyzes existing code, and generates proposed modifications. A key feature of SilentVoice AI is its human-in-the-loop approval workflow. Instead of automatically changing source code, all generated modifications are presented to the developer through a review interface. Users can inspect additions, deletions, and updates before approving any changes. This ensures transparency, maintains developer control, and reduces the risk of unintended code modifications. The system consists of a React-based frontend for user interaction and a FastAPI backend for processing requests. Voice transcription is handled using AI-powered speech recognition, while large language models assist with code understanding, intent recognition, and modification generation. Project analysis features allow the assistant to understand file structures and maintain context when working with software projects. During development, IBM Bob 2.0 was used extensively to support architecture design, feature implementation, debugging, code refactoring, and workflow optimization. The platform helped accelerate development while improving overall project quality and development efficiency. SilentVoice AI demonstrates how voice interaction and AI-assisted software engineering can work together to create a more accessible development environment. By combining speech recognition, intelligent code analysis, contextual project understanding, and developer approval mechanisms, the system provides a foundation for the next generation of voice-driven software development tools.
