DevPulse is an AI-powered developer workflow agent that analyzes code changes and identifies their potential impact before they reach production. When a developer modifies a function or component, DevPulse investigates dependencies, affected files, related tests, APIs, and other connected components. It then generates a Change Impact Report containing affected components, risk levels, recommended regression tests, and validation results. DevPulse uses IBM Bob as a core part of the workflow. Bob Agent was used to investigate code dependencies, analyze the change, improve regression-test coverage, identify the root cause of failures, and validate the final fix. For the demonstration, a payment-validation change was intentionally introduced. DevPulse detected the changed payment component, identified affected order and notification functionality, recommended regression tests, and automatically executed the test suite. The regression resulted in 3 failed and 5 passed tests, revealing that zero-value payments were incorrectly accepted. After the issue was fixed, all 8 regression tests passed successfully. The project demonstrates how AI-assisted development can reduce the effort required to understand code-change impact, identify regression risks, and validate fixes before release.
