SignalPilot is a paper-trading dashboard built on a simple architectural rule: LLMs propose, but deterministic systems decide. By decoupling speculative AI analysis from order execution, the platform provides automated trading insights without ceding control to stochastic hallucinations or unpredictable outputs. The pipeline begins with live market ingestion via the Alpaca API. A large language model processes price feeds, momentum indicators, and contextual signals to generate structured BUY, SELL, or HOLD recommendations accompanied by confidence scores and analytical reasoning. Rather than passing these signals directly to an execution queue, SignalPilot routes every recommendation through a rigid, rule-based risk engine. This deterministic guardrail layer evaluates every proposed trade against non-negotiable parameters: maximum position sizing, portfolio exposure limits, daily loss thresholds, and active stop-loss conditions. If a recommendation violates any risk constraint, the trade is rejected or resized immediately—regardless of how confident the LLM’s output might be. Designed for disciplined testing and algorithmic oversight, SignalPilot gives developers and traders a transparent, real-time environment to stress-test prompt strategies, audit machine reasoning, and validate portfolio safety protocols before risking real capital.
