Aura: Real-Time SEC 10-K Voice Analyst
Reading through 100-page annual reports (Form 10-K) to find Free Cash Flow, capital expenditures, or operating margins takes significant time. When analysts use general chatbots or search tools to speed this up, they often run into two frustrating issues: the tools mix up fiscal years from financial tables, or they invent metrics that make no sense for specific industries (like calculating a "gross margin" for a commercial bank or insurance company). Aura was built to solve this problem with a simple, voice-first workflow. How it works: 1. Fast Voice Input: Powered by AssemblyAI Universal-3.5 Realtime, analysts can speak ticker symbols, financial metrics, and company names naturally. AssemblyAI transcribes the spoken query in under 200 milliseconds with high accuracy on financial terminology. 2. Verified 10-K Line Items: Instead of asking a model to guess from unstructured text, Aura retrieves the exact audited figures directly from official SEC EDGAR Form 10-K filings across S&P 500 companies. 3. Industry-Aware Accounting: Aura handles different accounting standards properly. It provides standard gross and operating margins for tech and retail firms, while correctly switching to net revenue, net interest margin, or underwriting metrics for banks and insurers. 4. Quick Comparisons: Analysts can ask cross-company questions like "Compare Amazon and Walmart operating margins" or "What was Exxon Mobil's Free Cash Flow?" and get a direct, spoken answer without taking their hands off the keyboard. Aura gives financial analysts, investors, and students a dependable, fast way to pull audited SEC data out loud while reviewing charts or building financial models.
