Voxaura is an AI-powered voice salary negotiation coach that helps people practice difficult compensation conversations before facing the real thing. Users can create a custom negotiation scenario by choosing details such as the role, seniority, industry, company stage, recruiter personality, leverage, and compensation components they want to negotiate. They can also use “Surprise Me” to quickly generate an unexpected scenario. Once a scenario is ready, the user enters a live voice conversation with an AI recruiter. The conversation is powered by AssemblyAI’s Voice Agent API, providing real-time speech recognition, turn detection, spoken responses, barge-in handling, and tool calling. This makes the experience feel like an actual recruiter conversation instead of a text-based chatbot. Voxaura is designed so that the language model handles the conversation and communication, while a deterministic TypeScript negotiation engine controls the actual negotiation economics. Important values such as salary constraints, targets, concessions, acceptance conditions, and outcomes are managed by the application rather than being freely invented by language model. After the negotiation, Voxaura generates an evidence-based coaching report. It evaluates areas such as anchoring, information gathering, justification, concession management, package creativity, composure, information control, and the final outcome. Feedback is connected to specific events and moments from the conversation Voxaura also includes counterfactual simulations. Users can replay alternative negotiation strategies against the same hidden negotiation state and explore how different decisions could have affected the outcome. This allows users to learn through repeated practice instead of treating salary negotiation as a one-time experience. The core idea is simple: salary negotiation is a skill, and skills improve through practice. Voxaura turns that practice into a realistic, interactive voice experience.
