MEDCLE — Pharmacy Communication Layer
Have you ever known the medication you need but struggled to pronounce its name correctly at a pharmacy? MEDCLE is a voice-based pharmacy communication layer designed to make that interaction clearer. Customers can speak naturally, even when they mispronounce or struggle with an unfamiliar medication name. MEDCLE uses real-time voice transcription to understand the request, extracts only the information the customer actually provided, and reads it back for confirmation. For example: Customer: “I need amox... amoxicillin, five hundred.” MEDCLE: “I heard amoxicillin, 500 milligrams. Is that correct?” Once confirmed, the clearer request can be handled by the pharmacist. The important part is what MEDCLE does not do. It does not diagnose, prescribe, recommend medication, determine the correct dosage, or make medical decisions. It does not silently invent or correct information. The pharmacist remains responsible for the actual pharmacy decision. The goal is simple, help the pharmacist understand what the customer is actually asking for. MEDCLE uses AssemblyAI for real-time voice transcription and a structured extraction layer to turn the customer's spoken request into clear, reviewable information while preserving the original transcript as the source of truth. It is not trying to replace the pharmacist. It is building a safer communication layer between natural customer speech and professional pharmacy judgment.
