As Nigerians, we all know that cold fear when walking past an unlit street corner at night. If an attacker corners you with a knife, taking out your phone to tap a panic button will only get you hurt. And waiting for police in Lagos traffic means a forty-five minute delay. We built AegisVoice so nobody has to be a hero under duress. Before stepping out, you touch your phone for one second to arm Escort Mode. It locks your screen awake and streams your mic live to AssemblyAI at 16kHz PCM. When an aggressor stops you, you do not fight. You calmly whisper a harmless phrase: 'Just let me order iced coffee.' To the attacker, you are cooperating. But to AssemblyAI Universal-3.5-Pro, listening through the loud roar of street generators, that secret phrase triggers an instant distress beacon. With one tap, your screen goes pitch-black like a dead battery, while your microphone streams live. At the security desk, our CAD dashboard pulses with your live acoustic waveform and Claude 3.5 Sonnet triage. Instead of waiting for distant police, our decentralized mesh alerts the closest licensed estate guard within 500 meters. And because seventy percent of the rescue fee lands instantly into the guard's mobile money account, help arrives in two minutes. Quiet courage. Invisible protection. Instant rescue.
