Sales reps rarely get real practice handling objections until it's live, with real revenue on the line. Human roleplay is expensive to schedule, and generic chatbots don't push back the way a real skeptical buyer does. Pushback is a voice-based practice partner built entirely on AssemblyAI's Voice Agent API. You pitch out loud, mic to mic, to Jordan, an AI prospect who raises real objections naturally over the course of the call: price, timing, a competitor mention, or the classic "just send me some info" brush-off. Every objection is tagged live via tool calling, visible in the transcript the instant it happens, not just in a summary afterward. After the call, the transcript and tagged objections are handed to AssemblyAI's LLM Gateway, which generates an honest, category-scored review. This includes an overall score, a breakdown across objection resolution, response specificity, and discovery, and a per-objection verdict (handled well, partially handled, or fumbled) with a specific, quoted example of what to say instead. It's real feedback grounded in what was actually said, not generic positivity. Pushback supports three industry scenarios (Logistics, SaaS, Real Estate) with context-appropriate language and objections. These were added the same day an early tester said they needed more than just logistics. It's deployed on Fly.io so it stays live for real practice calls, not just a local demo. Sales teams already pay for roleplay-based coaching. Pushback does it on demand, in the rep's own voice, without needing to schedule a manager or peer.
