Gamma Watch is an automated options trading agent that runs on Alpaca's paper account. It checks the market, chooses a strategy, checks the risk, asks an AI model for a final opinion, and then either places a trade or does nothing. It does this every 5 to 15 minutes without anyone controlling it. For each symbol, it checks the recent price movement and puts the market into one of five states: trending calm, trending choppy, ranging calm, ranging choppy, or breaking out. It also checks if the current option price is cheap or expensive compared to its recent prices. These checks help the system choose a strategy or decide to wait. Before placing a trade, the system checks the risk. It limits how much can be risked on one trade, limits the number of open trades, and stops new trades if the account drops too much from its highest point. If the trade passes these checks, the AI gets one final look. It can approve the trade, reject it, or change the confidence level, and it gives a reason. If the trade is approved, Gamma Watch places the multi-leg option order on Alpaca. It then watches the position until it reaches its profit target, loss limit, or closing time. The system saves everything in a database, including the market state, strategy, risk checks, AI decision, and trade result. The system has already completed real trading cycles on a live paper account, including placing and closing real trades. It can also run across multiple symbols at the same time.
