Playtest Pal helps game testers capture useful bug reports without interrupting their play session to fill out a form. Instead of forcing testers to remember technical details or organize their thoughts manually, Playtest Pal lets them describe what happened naturally through a real-time voice conversation. The voice agent listens to the tester’s explanation, identifies missing details, and asks focused follow-up questions about the game, map, reproduction steps, expected behavior, and frequency. Once enough information is available, it creates a structured bug report containing a clear title, observed behavior, expected behavior, reproduction steps, and supporting evidence taken directly from the tester’s own words. The report remains editable so the tester or developer can correct wording before exporting it as a Markdown file. Playtest Pal also preserves the distinction between what the tester actually said and what the agent inferred, helping reduce invented details and unsupported assumptions. The prototype includes a scripted sample mode so judges can immediately experience the complete workflow. It also includes a live voice mode powered by AssemblyAI’s Voice Agent API, with browser microphone capture, real-time transcripts, spoken responses, tool calls, and structured report updates. Playtest Pal is designed for small game teams and solo developers who need clearer, more consistent playtest feedback without adding friction to testing. The result is a faster path from “something felt wrong” to a bug report that a developer can actually reproduce and act on.
