ChangeTwin

The Problem & Solution: As development teams increasingly rely on autonomous AI coding agents to refactor codebases, standard unit tests frequently fail to catch edge-case behavioral shifts. This introduces a critical failure point: silent regressions where unit tests show a 100% pass rate, but production breaks. ChangeTwin resolves this by acting as a dynamic differential execution engine. Instead of relying on static assertions, it runs real-world edge-case inputs through the original code and the AI-refactored code simultaneously to instantly highlight diverging standard outputs and return values. Product Detail & User Interaction: The product is a Python-based CLI tool. Users interact with ChangeTwin by running a simple command-line pipeline (scripts/run_scenarios.py followed by scripts/compare_results.py). The engine dynamically executes a matrix of scenarios against both the original and refactored scripts concurrently. The user receives a deterministic, immutable Behavioral Diff Passport (mismatches.json), allowing them to immediately inspect the precise edge-case scenarios that caused failures, directly in their code editor. Market Scope (TAM/SAM) & Revenue Streams: Our Total Addressable Market (TAM) scales directly with the explosive global adoption of AI-assisted development tools across all software sectors. Our Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM) specifically targets enterprise DevOps teams and Tech Leads managing legacy code modernization. Potential revenue streams include a tiered SaaS model for cloud-based execution, enterprise licensing for secure on-premise deployments, and usage-based API pricing for CI/CD pipeline integrations. Competitors & Unique Selling Proposition (USP): While traditional static analysis tools and standard unit testing frameworks (like PyTest or JUnit) check for syntax or pre-defined assertions, they cannot dynamically compare runtime behavior changes between two iterative versions of a script. ChangeTwin’s USP is deterministic runtime execution. We replace the guesswork of manual AI code reviews with absolute certainty, catching the semantic AI hallucinations that static tools miss. Future Prospects: ChangeTwin is designed to scale directly into standard CI/CD pipelines. Moving forward, it will serve as an automated, mandatory pre-merge gatekeeper for all AI-generated Pull Requests, ensuring zero behavioral drift reaches production environments.
