ChangeScope is a developer workflow tool designed to answer a deceptively difficult question: “What else could this code change affect?” Developers can easily see the files they edited, but understanding the downstream impact of those changes often requires manually searching callers, tests, related packages, and integration points. That process creates review overhead and allows regressions to escape when dependencies are overlooked. ChangeScope analyzes unstaged Git changes, parses Go source code using the Go AST, identifies functions and methods touched by changed regions, searches the repository for potential references, detects related test files, and produces a concise impact report. IBM Bob 2.0 was used throughout the project for architecture planning, implementation, test generation, debugging, repository analysis, and deeper reasoning over ChangeScope's deterministic findings. This combines conventional static analysis with AI-assisted developer reasoning while clearly distinguishing confirmed findings from potential impact. The result is a lightweight CLI that helps developers investigate a change before code review or release, reducing manual repository exploration and helping surface potentially affected code and tests earlier.
