CodeTuner, your assistant with old projects.

Standard AI coding tools act as open-loop systems, producing unverified code that often introduces hidden latency regressions, broken builds, or unmanaged dependency drift, leaving developers to manually profile and debug performance issues. CodeTuner solves this by providing a closed-loop, measurable optimization engine inside IBM Bob IDE for software engineers and technical leads. Using a native sidebar panel and five specialized Bob 2.0 skills, developers launch automated benchmarks, stack modernization, and parallel analysis. Users interact via sidebar buttons that trigger chat-based workflows, reviewing finding IDs at an Approval Gate before any code changes occur, followed by an automated four-step Regression Gate (Build, Tests, Health, Post-Benchmark) that renders live performance diffs in the dashboard. CodeTuner is unique because it never estimates metrics, uses read-only subagents, automatically rolls back breaking changes, and requires measured evidence before accepting optimizations, successfully cutting p95 latency by 55% in production testing.
