Problem: Developers can introduce security vulnerabilities into applications without immediately realizing how those weaknesses could be exploited. Common issues such as unsafe code execution, SQL injection, and missing input validation can lead to serious application risks. For beginners and developers working quickly, it can also be difficult to understand why a piece of code is risky and what evidence demonstrates the problem. Solution: AI Red Team – Code Risk Analyzer is a lightweight developer security tool that demonstrates how common security weaknesses can be detected and explained. The application provides controlled security-testing demonstrations for three scenarios: unsafe eval/code execution, SQL injection, and missing input validation. Users select a security scenario and run predefined test inputs. The application analyzes the simulated result and presents whether the test indicates a risk, the relevant evidence, the affected behavior, and an explanation of why the issue matters. The demonstrations are intentionally controlled and do not execute arbitrary user code. Target users: The project is designed for developers, students, beginner security learners, and teams who want a simple way to understand common application security risks during development and testing. Interaction: Users open the Streamlit web application, select one of the available security demonstrations, run the provided test cases, and review the resulting evidence and risk explanation. Creative and unique aspect: Instead of presenting security vulnerabilities only as static documentation, the project turns them into interactive red-team demonstrations. Users can see example attack inputs, observe the simulated behavior, and connect that behavior to the underlying security risk. Effectiveness: The project provides a focused proof-of-concept for developer security awareness and testing. It uses repeatable, controlled scenarios so users can safely explore common vulnerabilities without requiring a real vulnerable production system.
