Code Pulse is a codebase health platform that helps developers and teams understand, monitor, and improve their software repositories. As codebases grow, signals such as code quality, testing, documentation, security, maintainability, and complexity become difficult to track across different tools. Code Pulse connects to GitHub repositories, analyzes source code, and presents the results through a centralized developer dashboard. The platform performs deterministic repository analysis to generate a transparent Code Health Score and identifies findings by severity, helping developers see where attention is needed. Developers can view repository health, scan history, findings, trends, and improvement areas from one interface. Code Pulse also integrates IBM watsonx.ai to interpret scan results and provide explanations, prioritized recommendations, and developer-friendly summaries. The AI layer complements the deterministic analysis rather than replacing it, keeping health metrics consistent and explainable. The platform uses Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Clerk, Convex, GitHub APIs, and IBM watsonx.ai, with future plans for IBM watsonx Orchestrate to support automated developer workflows. Code Pulse is designed to expand from a code-health dashboard into a development assistant supporting pull-request reviews, release-readiness checks, automated monitoring, and remediation workflows. By combining repository health signals with AI-powered interpretation, Code Pulse makes code analysis easier to understand and act on, helping teams identify problems, prioritize improvements, and build healthier, more maintainable software.
