The platform uses the GitHub REST API and a resume parser to build a structured professional profile. Google Gemini then analyzes this information to generate an AI-powered “Work DNA” profile, giving users a clearer picture of their technical strengths and working patterns. Based on this profile, CareerCompass AI recommends career paths where the user is most likely to thrive. Users can explore their results through an interactive dashboard featuring visual insights, career matches, salary and market information, and a personalized learning roadmap. The platform also generates a downloadable PDF career report, making the recommendations practical and easy to revisit. CareerCompass AI is designed to go beyond traditional job portals, which often depend heavily on keyword matching. Instead, it focuses on evidence of how a person builds projects, learns, and works to provide more personalized career recommendations. The project is built with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion, and Recharts, with Supabase Edge Functions and PostgreSQL powering the backend. Google Gemini provides the AI analysis, while GitHub supplies developer profile data.
