SWARM // FINOPS

The Problem: The "Rent and Forget" Trap Companies today constantly rent virtual machines and cloud servers from providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Developers spin up these servers for temporary testing or staging environments. The massive problem? They often forget to turn them off when they are done. These forgotten machines—known as "zombie servers"—sit completely idle, doing zero work. Yet, cloud providers keep charging rent for them every single day. Over time, these idle servers silently drain thousands of dollars from company budgets. Bosses and managers remain unaware because cloud billing is overly complex, and tracking down every rented machine manually is impossible. The Solution: The SWARM AI Agent SWARM // FINOPS is an automated AI agent designed to solve this exact problem. It acts as an intelligent watchdog, actively hunting down wasted spend so human teams don't have to. Instead of relying on manual checks, the SWARM agent continuously searches through the company's entire server fleet. It monitors real-time data, analyzing CPU utilization and network traffic. By applying AI insights, it assigns a "Waste Score" to every machine, accurately identifying servers that have been abandoned. Core Features & Workflow: Automated Hunting: The agent scans all rented servers across AWS, Azure, GCP, and DigitalOcean, bringing them into one centralized dashboard. Proactive Chat Alerts: The system doesn't wait for a manager to log in. When it detects forgotten machines, the agent immediately sends a chat notification (e.g., via Slack/Teams) to the boss. It clearly states: "⚠️ Alert: 3 idle servers are wasting $258/month." Instant Resolution: Upon receiving the chat, the boss gets a simple, one-click "Shut Down" button to stop the wasteful servers instantly. Financial Impact: The app calculates exact financial metrics, showing current monthly waste and projected annual savings.
