Options Alpha Agents

MU/TH/UR 8400 is an autonomous options trading agent built on Alpaca's official MCP server. Each cycle it reviews the market and its open positions and decides what to do next — and before it acts, it has to put the case in writing: a thesis with real evidence, why this specific option structure and strike (not just a directional bet), and an invalidation condition that would prove it wrong. That record carries forward, so the agent checks its own past reasoning against current price action instead of re-deriving a view from scratch every cycle. Claude never talks to Alpaca directly. Every order passes through a hardcoded, config-driven risk gate first — plain Python, not prompted behavior. It structurally rejects naked shorts, caps risk per trade, options exposure, concurrent positions, and daily drawdown, and measures a multi-leg spread by its real net risk rather than the sum of its legs' face value. Claude sees only allow or deny, never a way around it. Everything runs on self-hosted infrastructure: a private git repo builds through an in-cluster BuildKit job to a self-hosted Harbor registry, and Flux reconciles the result onto two Talos Kubernetes clusters split by trust — an internal-only cluster holding the live Alpaca and Anthropic keys, and a separate publicly reachable cluster running a live status site with no order-placing code at all. That site streams the agent's real account and position data over Server-Sent Events and replays its actual decision-log entries as they're written — nothing on it is staged. The full source — agent, risk gates, infrastructure, and deployment manifests — is public on GitHub, not excerpted.
