Since 1 January 2026 the EU carbon border mechanism (CBAM) charges every tonne of imported steel. If the foreign mill cannot prove its emissions, the importer pays the EU default: €636 per tonne for Indonesian slab in 2026, versus €63 with verified data (official EC tables). Italy has 2,400+ authorised declarants, and the evidence is buried in supplier scans in Chinese, Turkish, Indonesian, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. Factory Evidence runs that intake end to end: 1. Read: Gemma-4-31B-IT on AMD (Token Factory) reads each scan and quotes the line behind every value. 2. Check: deterministic rules, not the model, test verification, plausibility against the EU benchmark, arithmetic and reporting period. 3. Decide: ACCEPT, NEEDS SUPPLIER or NEEDS HUMAN. Nothing is auto-accepted. 4. Act: an Evolus agent on the same AMD model writes the request in the supplier's language from a CBAM rules library; Evolus "anonymize" cleans the auditor file; a person approves. 5. Count: € per supplier and per quarter (€10.7M at defaults → €3.6M). Module B measures Transizione 5.0 energy savings with a 95% interval. Measured live on AMD, 6 documents in 6 languages: 65/66 fields (98.5%), 0 false accepts in 30 documents, 9/9 Evolus calls. Where it fails: the model misread a CN code 3 times in 30 reads; the rules caught every one. Business: SaaS plus a fee per verified tonne, sold through customs brokers and CBAM advisors. Next: EUDR and the battery passport. Demo data is synthetic. Built solo by Sardor Razikov (ACT I, 1st place AI Agents).
