ForgeMind is an AI-assisted industrial maintenance decision-support platform designed to help maintenance teams understand machine conditions and evaluate maintenance choices through a unified dashboard. The platform combines machine sensor analysis, deterministic decision logic, and an AI-powered maintenance assistant. Users can select a machine, inspect available sensor readings, review potential anomalies, and ask the assistant to explain the evidence and uncertainties behind a maintenance concern. ForgeMind also compares maintenance alternatives using estimated spare-part costs, downtime, lead times, and availability information. Rather than presenting AI output as unquestionable truth, ForgeMind aims to make maintenance reasoning more transparent. Its assistant can use available analytical tools to investigate machine conditions, compare options, and explain trade-offs. The decision-support workflow retains the need for human review and approval. The prototype is built with a React and TypeScript frontend, a Python FastAPI backend, and an AMD Developer API integration for AI-assisted reasoning. It also includes an experimental baseline for historical failure-risk analysis when compatible data is available. The current demonstration uses synthetic machine telemetry and illustrative maintenance costs. Its thresholds and risk estimates have not been validated for real industrial equipment, and the prototype does not establish reliable failure probabilities or remaining useful life for every machine. It is intended to demonstrate an AI-assisted maintenance workflow, not to replace professional engineering judgment or industrial safety systems. ForgeMind's goal is to connect machine-condition insights with practical maintenance decisions, helping users examine available evidence, understand cost and downtime trade-offs, and make better-informed decisions with appropriate human oversight.
