Synapse AI is an intelligent, personalized learning system built to revolutionize how students interact with educational materials. Instead of spending hours passively reading through dense textbooks or manually creating flashcards, Synapse AI instantly transforms static PDF documents into an active, gamified study ecosystem. Powered by the Google Gemini API, the platform automatically generates structured smart summaries, interactive flashcards, and dynamic AI practice quizzes that evaluate user performance in real time. To turn studying into a sustainable daily habit, Synapse AI incorporates a robust gamification layer featuring Daily Missions, XP rewards, streak tracking, and automated weak-topic detection. Built with React, TypeScript, Vite, and Tailwind CSS on the frontend, Synapse AI uses Supabase Auth, PostgreSQL, and Storage on the backend. A custom PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL function (`record_user_activity`) handles XP transactions, streak calculations, and anti-abuse checks atomically in a single backend call. For seamless evaluation, Synapse AI includes a zero-friction Sandbox Demo Mode (`/demo/*`) that allows judges and users to test every feature instantly, without signing up.
