OpenAI Dall-e Mini

DALL-E mini is a small, open-source artificial intelligence (AI) system developed by OpenAI. It is based on the same technology as OpenAI's larger DALL-E model, but is designed to be more accessible and easier to use. The system is designed to generate images, text, and audio, based on text input.

RegulatoryGuard AI

RegulatoryGuard AI

Moving a new therapeutic candidate from preclinical testing to Phase 1 clinical trials requires absolute data consistency across thousands of pages of pharmacology and toxicology records. Minor, everyday laboratory shifts, such as a 4% volume error during manual compounding titration or a small shift in a liquid dose schedule, frequently end up buried in disorganized spreadsheets or paper notebooks. When biotech startups compile their Investigational New Drug (IND) applications, these undocumented variances stand out to regulators, triggering devastating and costly "Refuse-to-File" (RTF) letters. Existing enterprise compliance platforms can prevent this, but their steep licensing fees create an insurmountable technology barrier for small, innovative biotech labs. RegulatoryGuard AI is a lightweight, low-cost compliance application built using IBM Bob 2.0 that bridges the gap between active R&D execution and audit-ready regulatory dossiers. The application implements a unique hybrid architecture: a deterministic Python calculation layer handles strict mathematical evaluations against a structured JSON compliance rulebook, eliminating the risk of "AI hallucinations." Once the mathematical delta is classified, an isolated IBM Bob 2.0 subagent dynamically drafts the highly technical scientific narratives and protocol deviation alerts required for submission. By utilizing Bob 2.0’s isolated subagents and expanded context window, the application cuts down AI computing costs by roughly 40% compared to monolithic LLM queries. It provides a visual, color-coded dashboard built in Streamlit that categorizes data into green (approved/included), yellow (needs review), and red (critical protocol exclusions) matrices. This ensures total data transparency, protects early-stage biotechs from human transcription error during regulatory handoffs, and ensures smaller, lean laboratory teams can get life-saving therapies to clinical trials faster and cheaper.

Fresno LUX: A Living City

Fresno LUX: A Living City

Fresno LUX is a prototype for a living intelligence layer across an entire city. Fresno already contains enormous amounts of intelligence: residents know where problems exist, nonprofits know where help is needed, businesses know where opportunities exist, educators understand gaps in learning, researchers generate knowledge, and government maintains critical infrastructure and data. The problem is that much of this intelligence is fragmented across disconnected systems. Fresno LUX connects those pieces. The platform creates a shared city graph where people, organizations, resources, needs, projects, observations, experiments, and outcomes become connected nodes. Instead of simply collecting data, LUX continuously asks: What is happening? What do we know? What is missing? What can we test? What changed? A community problem can become an observable signal. That signal can become an experiment. The experiment produces evidence. Evidence changes the system's understanding. That updated understanding informs the next action. Observe → Connect → Understand → Act → Measure → Learn → Converge. The goal is to move Fresno from disconnected information toward collective intelligence—a system where knowledge can travel across boundaries and successful solutions can be discovered, tested, measured, and replicated. LUX is designed to make the invisible connections visible: the relationship between a neighborhood and its resources, between a student and educational opportunity, between a business and workforce capacity, between environmental conditions and community health, and between an idea and measurable real-world impact. This hackathon prototype demonstrates the beginning of a Living Fresno Graph: a city that can observe itself, learn from evidence, and coordinate toward better outcomes.
