VoxHire is an AI technical voice interviewer which aims at making the interview process more interactive and personal. It does not use a static set of questions but rather uses the candidate's response to determine further questions, his level of expertise, and where he lacks understanding of the topic. VoxHire uses AssemblyAI's real-time voice AI to allow for a natural conversation to happen. The candidate responds to the question like in a real interview, but the system takes care of the speech understanding and interaction. The interviewer can pose follow-up questions, challenge the weak explanation, raise or lower the difficulty level, and learn about the candidate's knowledge rather than confirming if the candidate knows the answer. Once the interview is completed, VoxHire evaluates the candidate's performance on various criteria such as technical accuracy, depth of understanding, problem solving, and communications. Then it compiles a detailed report with strengths, weaknesses, recommendations for improvement, and future preparation. Thus, it creates an interview process that is close to reality and provides valuable feedback for the candidate. It shows how real-time speech AI, large language models, decision-making, and structured evaluation could be used to create an AI application.
