OpsHeal: Autonomous Self-Healing SRE Agent Swarm

Every enterprise payment microservice faces a recurring nightmare: third-party vendors (Stripe, GlobalPay, Adyen) frequently release unannounced API contract changes. They rename fields ('customer_id' to 'account_ref'), nest structures ('payment_detail.settlement_amount'), migrate to minor units ('amount_cents: 580000'), or pass dirty localized currency strings ('$12,450.75'). When legacy ingress routers crash with unhandled KeyErrors, payment capture halts. In-flight transactions are diverted to Dead-Letter Queues (DLQs), threatening revenue and customer trust. Today, resolving these SEV-1 incidents requires manual war rooms: waking up on-call SREs, DBAs, and engineers at 3 AM. Cross-team collaboration—reviewing vendor RFC docs, negotiating database migrations without table locks, writing contract adapters, running canary tests, and manually replaying DLQ messages—takes an average of 3.5 hours (210 minutes). At the enterprise downtime cost benchmark of $5,600 per minute, each outage burns over $1.17M in lost sales, SLA penalties, and engineering overhead. OpsHeal is an autonomous SRE self-healing runtime powered by the IBM Bob 2.0 Agent Core. Target users are Site Reliability Engineers, platform engineers, and payment DevOps teams managing mission-critical transactional services. Instead of waking humans or providing static LLM chat advice, OpsHeal actively detects and heals breaking contract drift in production with zero downtime and zero human intervention. When telemetry signals an ingress crash, OpsHeal's multi-agent swarm executes an autonomous 6-stage lifecycle: 1. Bob-Triage parses crash tracebacks and vendor OpenAPI RFC specs to dynamically map field renames and nesting. 2. Bob-DBA executes an online, non-blocking SQLite WAL migration (adding fee_amount and idempotency_token) with zero table locks. 3. Bob-Adapter synthesizes an in-memory polymorphic Anti-Corruption Layer that transparently coerces cents to dollars, strips dirty currency symbols, and maps aliases. 4. Bob-Canary dispatches synthetic shadow traffic to verify 0.0% regression and enforces SHA-256 idempotency to prevent double-charging. 5. Bob-Drainer safely drains trapped DLQ transactions into the permanent ledger with a 1:1 mathematical invariant: 15 transactions ($69,000.00) trapped == 15 transactions ($69,000.00) settled. 6. Bob-Release cuts a Git hotfix Pull Request and compiles executive post-mortem reports. OpsHeal reduces Mean Time to Recovery from 210 minutes to just 48 seconds—a 99.6% reduction—saving $1,171,520 per incident with 0 double-charges and 21 passing automated tests.
