Study Companion – AI-Powered Learning Platform

Study Companion is an AI-powered learning platform that helps students study more efficiently by converting uploaded PDF documents into interactive learning resources. Instead of manually creating notes or quizzes, users can upload a PDF and instantly generate AI-powered summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and chat with their study material. The application provides secure user authentication, document management, and a personalized dashboard that displays learning statistics, recent documents, and study activity. Once a document is uploaded, its text is extracted and processed through a serverless backend. AI then generates concise summaries, interactive quizzes with Multiple Choice, True/False, and Short Answer formats, flashcards for active recall, and context-aware responses through an AI chat assistant. The project was developed using Native Builder, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the frontend, while Supabase provides authentication, PostgreSQL database, storage, and Edge Functions. AI capabilities are powered by the AI/ML API, allowing secure and efficient communication with large language models. The platform features a responsive interface, light and dark themes, progress tracking, and a clean user experience across desktop and mobile devices. By combining document processing with AI-powered learning tools, Study Companion reduces study time, improves knowledge retention, and creates a more engaging learning experience. The project demonstrates how modern AI technologies can simplify education by transforming static documents into intelligent, interactive study resources, making learning faster, smarter, and more personalized for students.
