AgriSaarthi AI – Farmer Advisory

AgriSaarthi AI is an intelligent Farmer Query Support and Advisory System designed to make agricultural assistance faster and more accessible. Farmers can submit their questions through text or voice and can provide images of crop-related problems. The system uses AI and NLP to understand each query and identify the agricultural domain, crop, problem, complexity, confidence, and whether expert intervention is required. Routine and sufficiently confident queries can receive an AI-generated advisory response, while complex, ambiguous, specialized, or low-confidence cases are escalated to an agricultural expert. The platform provides separate workflows for Farmers, Experts, and Administrators. Farmers can submit queries and track their history and responses. Experts can view assigned cases, review the farmer's question and supporting information, and provide an expert advisory response. Administrators can manage experts and monitor the overall advisory workflow. AgriSaarthi combines AI with human expertise rather than relying on AI for every agricultural decision. This approach helps provide quick assistance for common problems while ensuring that difficult cases can receive expert attention. The project was built as a full-stack application using React.js for the frontend, Node.js and Express.js for the backend, Python for AI processing, MySQL for data management, and OpenAI-powered AI capabilities for query understanding and advisory generation. Our goal is to create a scalable digital bridge between farmers, agricultural knowledge, AI-powered assistance, and human experts.
